Biography of Vic (Ruthvick) Divecha

Born in 1980 in Mumbai to Uma and Hemant Divecha, Vic was brought up in the suburb of Bhayander on the western coast of India. Growing up on the sea coast of the Arabian sea, Vic developed a liking for creative arts and science. After working as a graphic designer in Bollywood and performing on screen in cameos for fun during his senior year in high school, he completed his higher secondary education at Mithibai College with specialization in the sciences.

He began his undegraduate studies in engineering in Pune. He completing a four year rigorous undergraduate program in Industrial Engineering, graduating consistently at the top of his class, at the well known Vishwakarma Institute of Technology. The Bachelor of Engineering awarded by the University of Pune. He was the president of the student chapter of the Indian Society of Technical Education local chapter while studying in Pune and was awarded the Rotary Youth Leadership Award after attending the Rotary Club’s young entrepreneurs and youth leadership development camp in 2001.

Vic  is an industrial engineer with specialization in human performance, human factors, training and development. He has a masters in Industrial & Operations Engineering from University of Michigan, he has been working for the university as a Learning Technology specialist since 2004.

Married to Gisela in 2006, they are living in Ann Arbor, MI with their son Gabriel Prasann.
